Delegation of Swedish Navy's marines will visit Russian Baltic Fleet (BF) Marine Brigade in Sept 7-10. The working visit will be held with a view to develop international military cooperation between Russian and Swedish defense ministries.

As is planned, the Swedish delegation will meet with BF command to discuss participation of the parties in joint military exercises and assistance to other agencies in emergency situations.

The visit program includes familiarization of the foreign servicemen with daily activities of BF marines, visiting of Baltiysk Naval Base, demonstration drill of assault battalion, and visiting warships at their basing sites.

It should be noted that in Sept 2011 the delegation of BF marines paid a visit to Swedish Navy's First Amphibious Regiment based on the Korso Island.

Specially for Russian colleagues, Swedish marines held a landing assault drill and released assets captured by "terrorists".
