A solemn keel-laying ceremony of Project 22570 transport dock Sviyaga developed by Almaz Design Bureau will be held on Nov 30, 2012 at Zelenodolsk Shipyard (Tatarstan, Russia).

It has become a tradition amid shipowners to give ships names of a region, an area or a river where ships are built. That is why the new transport dock will bear the character name of Sviyaga. It is a river in Tatarstan, right stream of the Volga River.

Transport dock is a special-purpose vessel designed for transporting of ships, their dock examination and repair by a shipyard's facilities.

The state contract for a Project 22570 Kvartira transport dock was signed in the spring of 2012. It is planned to deliver the ship in 2015.

General characteristics of Project 22570 transport dock:

- length – 134 meters
- beam – 14 meters
- draft – 2.67 meters
- carrying capacity – 3,300 tons
