Black Sea Fleet anti submarine warfare ship will ensure security in Sochi during 2014 Olympics 25.01.2013 Black Sea Fleet antisubmarine warfare ship Muromets returned to Sevastopol after accomplishment training exercises of its ensuring security in Sochi during 2014 Olympics mission.

Warship Muromets had been patrol the coast of Sochi for a months. The crew conducted the drills in tactical defense and training maneuvers with ocean mine-sweeper Vice Admiral Zaharin.

It is planned that Muromets and Vice Admiral Zaharin will ensure security in Sochi during Olympics.

The ship Muromets was laid down at Leninskaya Kuznitsa shipyard (Kiev); commissioned on March 5, 1983. It had a name of Kievsky Komsomoletssince July 27, 1982; MPK-134 – since February 15, 1992. The ship obtained a name of Muromets on April 5, 1999.
