Russian Navy will get three nuclear submarines in 2013: two nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines of the project 955 Borei-class and one nuclear multipurpose attack submarine of the project 885 Yasen-class, a high-ranking representative of defence industry complex said.

He reminded that the industrial sector had to deliver two submarines Alexandr Nevsky (project 955) and Severodvinsk (project 885) as early as in 2012. Nevertheless the dates of delivery were were rescheduled for the next year as a result of circumstances.

"Eventually in 2013 Russian Navy will get Alexandr Nevsky and Severodvinsk and also Vladimir Monomakh (project 955), which was launched at Sevmash shipyard in December 2012", high-ranking representative of defence industry complex told to RIA Novosty.

He added that confidence firings of Bulava missiles will be performed before commissioning of the submarines. It is excepted that Alexandr Nevsky will fire the first missile launch in June or July this year, the source mentioned.

Besides, this year Lada-class diesel-electric submarine Saint-Petersburg (project 677) upon completing of sea trials in Northern seas will be commissioned. Currently the submarine is in reliability field testing service.

Reportedly Russian shipbuilding industry delayed the delivery of five ships to Russian Navy for one year: two submarines and three surface ships.
