Large ASW ship Marshal Shaposhnikov completed anti-piracy mission in the Gulf of Aden 04.03.2013

Warships group of the Pacific Fleet, consisting of large large anti-submarine ship Marshal Shaposhnikov, intermediate sea tanker Irkut and rescue tug Alatau, completed it's convoy in the Gulf of Aden and set a course for Vladivostok - main naval base of the Pacific Fleet.

Russian ships will call at the port Langkawi, Malaysia, on March 26 in the frame of Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA-2013). The visit will last till March, 30.

Later, since April 14 till April 18 the group of ships will visit the port Busan, South Korea.

Warships will return to Vladivostok approximate by the end of April.

During performing the mission and in the context of international activity in the end of 2012 the Pacific Fleet warships called at Indian port Mumbai, where conducted exercises Indra-2012 with Indian Navy, and also visited Iranian port Bandar-e Abbas for supply replenishment.

In February 2013 Marshal Shaposhnikov visited Republic of Seychelles and for the first time in the history of Russian Navy called at the port Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania, where held anti-piracy exercise.

According to the report of the naval force commander rear admiral Vladimir Vdovenko, material and technical parts function nominally. The personnel assets is healthy and ready for the mission accomplishment.
