A group of Russia's Caspian Flotilla ships have launched exercises in the Caspian Sea.

APA reports quoting the website of the Russian Defense Ministry that Tatarstan, Dagestan missile ships, Ataman Palatov landing boat and 4 Serna high-speed landing boats are taking part in the exercises.

Exercises started on March 15 and will last for two weeks. Missile ships will perform acts of war against "enemy" above-water and surface ships.

Operations on mine-disarming, protection against air attack, as well as protection against diversions and conveying landing forces will be carried out.
