A group of foreign journalists and representatives visited Russia's Black Sea Fleet
A group of foreign journalists and representatives of leading Russian news agencies has finished their work at Russia's Black Sea Fleet.
A large group of journalists of foreign news agencies has finished their work at Russia's Black Sea Fleet. Journalists from Poland, Germany, France, USA, Canada and Great Britain as well as representatives of the leading Russian news agencies, over 30 people in all, were given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the day-to-day activities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet at its main base in Sevastopol.
A briefing, involving Black Sea Fleet's staff officers and a representative of the Foreign Ministry, was conducted for the news agents. The guests met the representatives of the Sevastopol city administration and the Sevastopol City Hall.
The journalists also visited the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the Black Sea Fleet's flagship - the Moskva Guards Missile Cruiser, one of the navigation aids used by the Fleet, the 30th Shore Battery, the St.Nicolas cathedral-monument and the Bratsk Cemetery of Sevastopol, where buried lie the warriors fallen during the Krimean War.
The journalists, who visited Sevastopol, expressed satisfaction with the work accomplished and thanked the representatives of the Russian Defence Ministry and the Black Sea Fleet for the being open and organizing their two-day work trip on the installations of the Fleet. They expressed their assurance, that such trips strengthen the mutual trust and allow them to cater objective information to their readers and viewers, pertaining to what is really taking place in Sevastopol and at the Black Sea Fleet.
