Pytlivy is a Project 1135M escort ship (frigate).

CONSTRUCTION

The ship was laid down on June 27, 1979 at Yantar Shipyard (Kaliningrad); launched on April 16, 1981; commissioned on February 9, 1982.

MILESTONES

In 1988 the ship visited the port of Algiers.

In 1991 the ship visited Greek port of Piraeus.

On Dec 2, 1989 the ship was stationed off La Valetta (Malta) securing the meeting of Secretary General of Soviet Communist Party Mikhail Gorbachev with the US President George Bush Snr.

Since 1993 till 1996 the ship had been under capital repairs at Yantar Shipyard.
