The institute is capable of accomplishing a whole range of works, including research, design and full-scale ground-based tests and sea trials of torpedoes and torpedo systems. The institute has a unique experience in creation of torpedo power plants featuring open, closed and combined working cycles, which are based on gas-turbine (up to 1350 kW) and piston engines (up to 500 kW). The «Morteplotekhnika» Research Institute creates and operates specialized equipment, intended for ground-based tests and sea trials of torpedoes, underwater power plants and their subsystems.
