OMZ-Special Steels Ltd. was founded in 2002 on the basis of metallurgical facilities of Izhorskiye Zavody and is part of the OMZ corporation.

Due to state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities the company occupies a leading position in production of metallurgical semi-finished products for machine-building industry in Russia and is one of the largest forgemasters in Europe. OMZ-Special Steels manufactures steel forgings (up to 230 tons), stampings (up to 50 tons), castings (up to 145 tons), hot-rolled sheets and plates (up to 450 mm) from a wide range of steel grades.

The production guality is recognized by Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, DNV, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, Russian River Register, Gosatomnadzor of Russia. The quality management system complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 which is confirmed by SAI Global, IQNet, Russian Register Certification Association.
