Yaroslavl Shipyard to Build Second Patrol Boat for FSB

15.12.2011 JSC Yaroslavl Shipyard will construct the second patrol boat for Russia's federal security service (FSB).

The second Project 12260 fast-speed patrol boat will be constructed in Dec 2012 for Krasnodar FSB Department.

The shipbuilding contract was signed in Oct 2011; neither the boat's structural details nor the contract cost are disclosed.

Basic characteristics of Project 12260 fast-speed patrol boat:

- length – 12.75 meters
- beam – 3.06 meters
- amidships depth – 2.10 meters
- full displacement – 11.2 tons

The boats will secure littoral waters during the Winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi.
