Capt 1 rank Viktor Ginkut, Black Sea Fleet (BSF) Deputy Chief of Support Services died on March 29 in Moscow in consequence of terrorist attack in subway station Park Kultury.
The officer was on detached service in Moscow by order of BSF command; he was supposed to return to Sevastopol in three days.
Funeral service took place on March 31, in Moscow. Then his body will be sent to Sevastopol by plane where the officer will be buried.
Viktor Ginkut had wife and 19-year old daughter.
Viktor Ginkut was born in 1967 in Sevastopol. He graduated from Sevastopol Naval Engineer Academy; had been serving in Black Sea Fleet as diesel submarine engine group commander, chief of charge power station, submarine engineering department commander, chief of submarine base supply service, deputy base commander. Few years ago he excellently graduated from Logistics and Transport Academy; then he had been servicing as base commander of harbor defense brigade, commander of combined coastal base.
