President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich dismissed Viktor Maksimov from the post of Ukrainian Navy Commander.

By his decree, Yanukovich released Maksimov from active service due to health status "with the right to wear military uniform", reports RIA Novosti.

Maksimov was appointed Ukrainian Navy Commander in March 2010.
