German frigate Hamburg will participate in the International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS-2011) to be held in St. Petersburg, German naval attaché in Moscow Captain Gerd Hamann said to the Central Navy Portal.

That is going to be the first visit of German warship to participate in IMDS.

Possibly, the highest rank aboard the frigate would be deputy inspector of German Navy Rear Admiral Heinrich Lange.

F220 Hamburg (second frigate with this name in German Navy) is a Project 124 Sachsen class frigate, commissioned in 2004. Reportedly, visit of a French warship to St. Petersburg is also planned.
