Turkish Navy Commander Admiral Esref Ugur Yigit pays official visit to St. Petersburg on June 3, told Turkish Consulate General to Central Navy Portal.

Admiral Esref Ugur Yigit visits Russia on invitation of his counterpart Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky who visited Admiral Yigit in Turkish Navy HQ in July 2010.

The visit program is traditional, although very tight. Upon his arrival, Admiral Yigit will see newest non-nuclear submarine St. Petersburg and naval base commander's executive-class boat Burevestnik, visit the Kuznetsov Naval Academy to meet with its top-ranking officers, and board the Russian Navy's number one ship – cruiser Avrora.

The submarine and the boat are prepared for the visit and have taken their positions at Lt. Schmidt's Embankment.

According to the schedule, the Turkish delegation will visit Central Naval Museum on July 4. Later on that day, Admiral Yigit will leave St. Petersburg.
