Black Sea Fleet (BSF) destroyer Smetlivy commanded by Capt 2 Rank Viktor Skokov returned to Sevastopol fr om the Mediterranean Sea.

The ship has spent 2 months performing various tasks in different parts of the Med Sea and covered over 11,000 nautical miles. In order to replenish food and fuel supplies, Smetlivy called at Syrian port Tartus wh ere Russian Navy has a maintenance support center.

When passing straits and moorage at the foreign port, the ship was secured by anti-terror party attached by BSF Marine Brigade.

The solemn meeting ceremony took place in Sevastopol on the occasion of Smetlivy returning from deployment.

One day earlier, seagoing replenishment tanker Iman also returned from the Mediterranean deployment.
