The South Korean warship was destroyed by North Korean torpedo
The South Korean corvette Cheonan was sunk by a North Korean torpedo. This conclusion was made by a government commission investigating the sinking of the ship. Reports say the results of the inquiry will be officially announced on May 20th.

Somali pirates have released a Bermudan-flagged fridge ship in exchange for a two-and-a-half-million-dollar ransom. All 25 crewmembers, 23 Sri Lankans, a Filipino and a Syrian, are reported alive and well. The Talka was seized on the 23rd of March 120 nautical miles off Oman.

Gunpowder detected in South Korea ship wreckage
Investigators have found traces of gunpowder in the wreckage of a sunken South Korean naval ship, a government official said on Thursday, further bolstering suspicions of a North Korean attack. US Navy to Start Training Female Submariners in July
US Navy officials today announced they are moving ahead with plans to integrate women onto submarines beginning in late 2011 or early 2012. The decision became public after Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates notified Congress in February of the Navy's desire to add women to submarines.
