"ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS"

International Maritime Defence Show

FSUE «Admiralty Shipyards» - is one of the oldest shipyards in Europe. It was founded in 1704 by Peter the Great. Since the shipyard foundation over 2600 ships and vessels of different types and classes have been constructed there.

At present, surface shipbuilding of the shipyard is directed mainly to the construction of tanker fleet. In 1994 - 1998 the enterprise delivered a series of 7 tankers, dwt 28.4 thousand tons, in 2000-2002 - a series of 5 tankers of ice class, dwt 20 thousand tons. At present, the shipyard is building a series of tankers of dwt 47 thousand tons for JSC «Sovcomflot».

The yard maintains its specialisation in submarine construction. For the Russian Navy and foreign customers there were constructed more than 300 submarines (41 nuclear); 68 deepdiving and underwater vehicles. A series of submarines of the fourth generation, Project Lada, ordered by the Russian Navy is under construction now.
