"Severnaya verf"

«Severnaya verf» (ex-Putilovskaya verf) was founded on
11th of November, 1912.
The yard is located in north-east part of Saint-Petersburg near the entrance of Sea channel of Finnish gulf and has railway communications. Comfortable position in city boundaries, its technological equipping defines potential yard's possibility in whole-year building and trails carrying out of ships and vessels.
The main yard activity is surface naval shipbuilding, commercial shipbuilding, repair and modernization of fighting ships and vessels.
In cooperation with Central Research Institute of shipbuilding technology the yard had worked up project of compact shipyard which keeps the present production capacity and erection of new covered building dock for vessels up to 80 000 TDW. Now «Severnaya verf» is a part of United Industrial Corporation.
