Northern Fleet (NF) large ASW ship Admiral Levchenko protects a 4-ship convoy with 23 Russians on board near the Horn of Africa, reported Tuesday RIA Novosti citing the Russian Navy spokesman.

"Presently, NF large ASW ship Admiral Levchenko escorts a convoy consisting of four civil vessels. Total amount of Russian citizens in the crews is 23", said the Navy official.

According to him, Russian warships secure civil navigation in the most piracy-risky regions – the Horn of Africa and the Gulf of Aden.
