Admiralteyskie Verfi shipyard (member of United Shipbuilding Corporation) is capable to build Mistral-type helicopter carriers under French license, said Russian vice premier Igor Sechin in Tuesday's interview.

"Admiralteyskie Verfi can do that... We could modernize Yantar or build a new yard, but the best way is to select a shipyard capable to do it with minimum expenses", said Sechin who also heads the USC board of directors.

Initially, Russia was about to buy one Mistral-type ship from France and build other three at Russian shipyards under French license. Then it was reported about "2+2" scheme implying purchase of two ready-to use ships in France and building of two carriers in Russia.
