Talks on Mistral are held in the atmosphere of confidence – Sarkozy 08.09.2010

Meeting with Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov and defense minister Anatoly Serdiukov, the French president Nicolas Sarkozy pointed out that negotiations on helicopter carrier Mistral were held in the atmosphere of confidence, said representative of the Elysee.

Russian ministers take part in the 9th session of Russian-French Security Cooperation Council in Paris.

The Russian party initiated the brief talk on Mistral issue, simply to state that the negotiations look promising. The French president understood Russia's decision to put out tender in according to national legislation, said the spokesman after the meeting.

The president and both Russian ministers said the talks were continued in the atmosphere of confidence, added the official.
