Severnaya Verf shipyard will finish mast assembly at London's museum cruiser Belfast by Sept 20, 2010. Decision to do that 2 weeks earlier was made by request of the British party, says the shipyard's press-release. Till Sept 20 it is also planned to carry out clean-up, repair, and painting of preserved removable equipment.

Mainmast and foremast for the only survivor-ship participated in the Arctic Convoys of 1941-1945 were made by the yards of United Industrial Corporation as a gift of the Russian Federation to the Royal Military Museum.

Assembling works at cruiser Belfast are carried out by a group of professionals from Severnaya Verf shipyard – metal hull assemblers, arc welders, painters, and technical experts.

Severnaya Verf shipyard was established on Nov 14, 1912. The yard is specialized in combat ships and various commercial vessels. Currently, 75 % orders of defense shipbuilding program are being executed. Oil platform supply ships are being exported under commercial shipbuilding program. United Industrial Corporation controls 72.19% shares of JSC Severnaya Verf shipyard; the government controls 20.96% through JSC Western Shipbuilding Center.
