Kunitsyn: We didn't touch BSF lands

Kunitsyn: We didn't touch BSF lands 22.09.2010

Ex-mayor of Sevastopol Sergei Kunitsyn refuted his involvement in sale of lands leased by Russia's Black Sea Fleet (BSF), explained how facts were garbled, and told about risks for BSF garrisons.

According to Kunitsyn, "Black Sea Fleet lands by no means were handed over to any individuals; those land plots are leased by Russia in accordance with international agreements and nobody except Russian officials can dispose of those territories".

Land inventory has not been completed yet, said the ex-mayor. The lands are inventoried only in papers; it means that overall area and approximate location of land plots were determined but not demarcated afield.

Giving the interview to Rosbalt, Kunitsyn said all charges to him were "primitive forgery". "Our opponents speak about lands sold by Sevastopol city administration nearby military units and "overlap" territories leased by BSF, making use of the fact that those lands are not demarcated. Consequently, it looks like we transferred Black Sea Fleet's lands to private ownership. But we by no means could do that!" said Kunitsyn.

Moreover, whenever the question was related to lands nearby BSF territories, it was always discussed with the fleet command and all documents were signed by BSF leadership, added Kunitsyn.
