According to preliminary information, about 40 servicemen of a Baltic Fleet (BF) military unit were poisoned by offgrade food products; investigators has already started the inquiry, reported RIA Novosti citing a representative of BF Military Procuracy.

"Presently, all servicemen feel well. Diagnosis has not been made yet, although preliminary symptoms show that the sailors could eat offgrade food", said the interviewee.

"The BF Procuracy checks whether the unit command fulfilled sanitation-and-epidemiological rules and health care requirements", said the investigator.

According to him, the procuracy will make appropriate procedural decisions upon termination of the inspection.
