Norway detained a Russian-crewed vessel 27.10.2010

Norwegian Coast Guard arrested Russian-crewed trawler Atlantic Lady last weekend, reported Tuesday Rossiya 24 TV Channel.

According to the channel, the vessel heading for Arkhangelsk was detained and brought to one of Spitsbergen ports for further investigation. Supposedly, the inquiry will take about two days.

Norwegian authorities have a suspicion that declared volume of marine products carried by ship is less than the real one.

Belize-flagged trawler Atlantic Lady is fully crewed by Russian sailors, reports the TV channel.
