Medvedev made staff replacements

Russian president Dmitry Medvedev ordered to dismiss Gen. Maj. Sergei Ivanitsky, 14th Missile Division Commander, and carried out some other staff replacements in Russian Armed Forces, reported Kremlin's official website.

According to the presidential decree, Oleg Apishev was appointed Pacific Fleet (PF) Reconnaissance Officer, Anatoly Zelinsky – PF Personnel Officer, and Igor Korolev – Director of PF Technical Dept.

The president relieved RADM Andrei Ryabukhin from the post of Northern Fleet (NF) White Sea Naval Base Commander and appointed him PF Deputy Commander. Ryabukhin will be shifted by Viktor Liin whose previous position was NF Submarine Force Deputy Commander.

Capt 1 rank Igor Smolyak will be commander of 30th division of surface ships, Black Sea Fleet (BSF); Col. Roman Sheremet was appointed Aerospace Defense 8th Brigade Commander.
