Having analyzed parameters of 14th test launch of submarine-based ballistic missile (SLBM) Bulava, flight test commission decided that the subsequent launch would be conducted in the second half of December, reports RIA Novosti citing a source in the commission.

Previous launch was carried out on Oct 29 by nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) Dmitry Donskoy from the White Sea. The missile's warheads hit training targets in assigned zone at Kura Range, Kamchatka. The launch was conducted from submerged position within the framework of state flight development tests. Thus, number of successful tests got equal with faulty ones (7:7). By the way, two last launches were successfully performed from submerged position, while all previous underwater launches failed.

"It has been recently decided that the next test launch will be held late in December. Exact date of trials and the launching submarine have not been defined so far", said the source.

He added that that the launch most likely will be carried out by SSBN Yury Dolgoruky.
