New training year starts in Baltic Fleet

New training year starts in Baltic Fleet 30.11.2010

New training year starts in Baltic Fleet (BF) on Dec 1. Solemn ceremonies will be conducted in the fleet's divisions and units; all servicemen will receive tasks and instructions for winter training period.

Baltic Fleet will face intense combat training consisting of sea, field, and flight exercises.

Besides, it is planned that BF warships along with navies of Baltic countries will participate in international maneuvers BALTOPS annually held under Partnership for Peace program, and in international exercise Open Spirit conducted for search and liquidation of explosive ordnance in the Baltic Sea.
