Russian-Indian concert to be held in Severodvinsk 03.12.2010

Russian-Indian concert associated with Indian Navy Day will take place in Severodvinsk on Dec 5 at 4 pm.

On Dec 4, 1971 during the military conflict against Pakistan, Indian Navy successfully blocked Pakistani coast and attacked naval base Karachi. That event had a great impact on further sea operations.

According to press-service of Sevmash shipyard, celebration of Navy Day in India normally lasts one week. Various cultural events are held during those days, warships are opened for visit. Usually, the festival is finished by naval ball hosting over 5,000 guests.
