Putin visited SSBN Alexander Nevsky

Russian premier Vladimir Putin congratulated the crew of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) Alexander Nevsky which started mooring trials. Putin visited the sub on Monday. The crew paraded on the deck.
The sub's commander Capt 1 rank Vasily Tankovid reported to the prime minister that the crew was ready for trials.
Putin walked on the sub's top deck, inspected missile hatches, and had his picture taken in front of the sub's sail emblem.
SSBN Alexander Nevsky is a 4-generation Borei class submarine was laid down in 2004 and has to be delivered in Dec 2011. The submarine is currently undergoes trials in Severodvinsk. Mooring trials are normally exposed to outfitted ships to check their operational capability and test some particular systems.
It is planned that Alexander Nevsky will join Pacific Fleet.
