Russian Black Sea Fleet (BSF) and Ukrainian Navy have resumed joint naval exercise Fairway of Peace after a longstanding break, said BSF Commander Vladimir Korolev.

"Now the exercise is conducted as a computer modeling, although with participation of the two defense ministers. However, new format of this exercise has been already traced. In prospect, it is planned to conduct Fairway of Peace with involvement of surface ships, coastal troops, and aviation", said Korolev.

According to him, one year ago Black Sea Fleet co-operated with other foreign navies more actively than with Ukrainian one.

"Meanwhile, not only military experts but most of common people realized it was not correct. Now there's a chance to redress the situation", added Korolev.
