Keel-laying ceremony of the second serial patrol ship of Project 22460 (hull No. 503) was held on Dec 22 at Almaz Shipyard.

Project 22460 patrol ship was developed by Severnoye Design Bureau and is used for protection of state border and territorial waters, as well as for anti-terror and anti-piracy operations.

The ship's displacement is 630 tons; speed is 30 knots; fuel range is 3,500 miles; endurance is 30 days; length is 62.5 meters.

The solemn event was attended by first persons of Russian FSB Frontier Service.

Almaz Shipyard has delivered 9 ships and boats to orderers in 2010; Frontier Service obtained seven of them. At present, the shipyard builds Project 22460 patrol ship (Hull No. 502) and Project 22120 patrol boat (hull No. 211) for Russian FSB Frontier Service; Project 10412 patrol ships (hull No. 044, 045) for Vietnamese Navy; Project 21630 gunnery ships (hull No. 702, 703) for Russian Navy.
