Numerous problems urgent for Russian mariners serving in Black Sea Fleet have been resolved during the 9th session of Russian-Ukrainian committee on Black Sea Fleet (BSF) deployment in Ukraine, reports Flot 2017.

According to Ukrainian foreign ministry, one of the main achievements was resolution on BSF movements beyond military bases and camps. "Political negotiations have resulted in the draft agreement between Russian and Ukrainian governments which regulates activities of Black Sea Fleet beyond its basing sites", says official release.

Ukrainian foreign ministry reports that a draft agreement on bilateral cooperation in disaster prevention and response measures with the use of BSF units has been also prepared. Another draft agreement on contingency actions is being presently negotiated.

Besides, it has been agreed to continue the BSF lands inventory. Those plans have not been relocated on terrain, which causes numerous discords.

It is planned to hold the next (tenth) session of the committee in fourth quarter of 2011 in Moscow.

Recall that Black Sea Fleet transport vehicles were regularly detained by Ukrainian police in 2009; the reason was violation of dangerous goods code.
