Establishment of the Russian-French consortium meant for building of Mistral class assault landing ships contributes to global security, said Russian president Dmitry Medvedev at World Economic Forum in Davos, reports ITAR-TASS.

"We will make the best use of technology transfer to modernize Russian industry", said the president. "Joint work and technological exchange are of great importance in all areas, and defense is not an exception. I'm sure that in prospect they will create new level of global security. That is especially why we welcome the foundation of Russian-French Mistral consortium".
