Vympel design bureau develops a salvage vessel for Russian Navy

JSC Vympel Design Bureau develops project documentation for a salvage vessel (Project 22870) under a contract with JSC Zvezdochka (Astrakhan branch).
The ship is designed for towage and floating off vessels; fire extinguishing of damaged vessels and coastal structures; evacuation of sufferers and rendering medical assistance to rescued people; power supply and keeping damaged vessel afloat; carrying out diving works at depths down to 60 meters; collection of oil products with flash point over 60°C from sea surface; conducting survey works. The ship is going to be used in the Caspian Sea.
