JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) will participate in IDEX-2011. Being the largest defense exhibition in Middle East and North Africa, IDEX will celebrate 10th anniversary this year and take place in Abu Dhabi in Feb 20-24.

The exhibition will be oriented on arms, electronic defense systems, ballistic systems, radars, telecommunications, optoelectronics, ammunition, military equipment, countermine systems, land/sea/air defense systems, engineer facilities, special hardware.

Exhibition stand of USC will occupy the space of 65 sq m and present developments of JSC Almaz Central Maritime Design Bureau, JSC Zelenodolsk Design Bureau, JSC Rubin Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering, JSC Khabarovsk Shipyard.

Basically, USC attends the exhibition with the view to promote Russian naval products to external markets, and to determine prospects for arms export in the Middle East region.

The corporation will demonstrate prospective projects in shipbuilding industry.

Package of proposals to be presented by USC at IDEX-2011 includes almost the whole range of warships – from patrol boats to frigates and non-nuclear submarines. Russian designers and manufacturers regard these naval platforms as reliable, easy-to-maintain, and effective maritime warfare systems. Their high efficiency results from advanced arms, tactical control systems, surface and underwater situation display systems, attack missile weapons, air defense systems, antisubmarine arms, and so forth.

Open joint-stock company United Shipbuilding Corporation was established by Presidential Decree No. 394 dated March 21, 2007. The state controls 100 per cent shares. USC includes 9 design bureaus and 32 shipyards (ship-repair plants).
