More than a half of works under state defense order for JSC Zvezdochka Ship Repair Center in 2011 will be technical supervision and ships' service maintenance works.

Zvezdochka was assigned the only executor of such works over submarines and surface ships of Northern Fleet, Caspian Flotilla, and Novorossiysk Naval Base. This assignment made possible to give up discrediting practice of tenders for ship repairs. Totally, about 300 ships are placed under responsibility of Zvezdochka. Primarily, these works will be carried out by the yard's branches and contracting organizations. Coordination will be carried out by Technical Supervision & Service Maintenance Dept established by reorganization of Nuclear Facilities Decommissioning Dept.

The shipyard itself in 2011 will focus on completion of repairs and upgrade of nuclear submarine Novomoskovsk, overhaul of diesel electric submarine Kaluga and nuclear submarine Voronezh, starting repairs of SSBN Verkhoturye, and preparation for laying up Project 971 and Project 945 subs.

It is also expected that in the current year Zvezdochka would kick off construction of Project 20180TV sea-going arms transport.
