Russian defense ministry will purchase 36 ballistic missiles, two strategic submarines, and 20 air-based strategic cruise missiles in 2011, said Russian defense minister Anatoly Serdiukov.

"We plan to allocate over RUR 19 trillions for implementation of state arms procurement program. In 2011 that will make possible to buy 36 ballistic missiles, 2 strategic nuclear submarines, 20 air-based strategic cruise missiles, five space vehicles, 35 aircrafts, 109 helicopters, 3 nuclear-powered attack submarines, 1 surface warship, 21 antiaircraft missile systems", said the minister at Friday's extended session of defense ministry's board attended by president Medvedev.

According to Serdiukov, by the year of 2016 Russian Armed Forces will be 100 per cent provided with all required weapons and warlike equipment. "Portion of up-to-date arms has been increased up to 30%", said the minister.
