Ukraine resumed inventory of Black Sea Fleet property
23.03.2011
Ukraine resumed inventory of lands and property of Russia's Black Sea Fleet (BSF), reports Rosbalt referring to Alexander Dikusarov, spokesman for Ukrainian foreign ministry.
"An expert meeting of BSF-oriented intergovernmental commission was held in March 15-16 in Sevastopol… The parties agreed upon the text of a bilateral draft agreement on contingency cooperation and disaster control in BSF basing sites", he said.
Ukrainian official underlined that the "parties agreed to discuss the draft agreement separately".
According to him, in March 17-18 the working group was also convened to discuss inventory of Ukrainian land plots and property leased by Russian Black Sea Fleet. "The parties agreed to resume inventory process and to start talks on this matter in the nearest time", he said.
As was previously reported, Russian diplomats say at least two years are needed to conduct inventory of lands leased by Black Sea Fleet.
