Italians visited Sevmash shipyard

Representatives of Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri paid a familiarization visit to JSC Sevmash shipyard.

The visit was held under the program of Italy's year in Russia. The delegation headed by Fincantieri's managing director Rinaldo Marinoni arrived to get acquainted with productive capacities of Sevmash shipyard (Severodvinsk, Russia) with a view to examine possibility of cooperation in development of shelf oil-and-gas fields.

The guests were shown all basic production workshops, hydrosystem, and laboratories. Traditionally, Sevmash visiting program included the yard's museum and the Nikolo-Korelsky Monastery. After the excursion, the parties conducted negotiations; Russian side was headed by the shipyard's chief engineer Alexei Alsufiev.

The meeting resulted in a number of joint projects which are going to be developed.
