US Navy's warship would probably pay an official visit to Kaliningrad. This is a matter of talks between US Consulate General in St. Petersburg Sheila Gwaltney and Kaliningrad Governor Nikolai Tsukanov on Apr 6 in Kaliningrad, reports REGNUM referring to the regional government's press-service.

Name and type of the ship have not been reported so far. Being a member of American diplomatic mission to Kaliningrad region, US Deputy Naval Attaché in Russia also participates in discussions over possible visit of a US warship to Kaliningrad.

Perhaps, that could be one of American warships currently stationed in the Baltic Sea, reported REGNUM citing assumption of a source in Russia's Baltic Fleet.
