The 12th international forum "High Tech of the 21st Century" was opened in Moscow.
The forum is supported by Russia's Ministry of Trade and Industry and held under patronage of Industrial Business and Trade Association.
Sevmash shipyard is a traditional participant of the exhibition. This is the sixth time the yard demonstrates its achievements in Krasnaya Presnya Expo Center. This year Sevmash displays models of Prirazlomnaya maritime stationary ice-resistant platform, floating energy unit for tidal powerplant, spent fuel storage packaging set TUK-108, semi-submersible platform MOSS-CS50, ocean-going yacht, Project 3110 sea-going tug, and Project 029 small-size bulker.
Besides, Sevmash participates in the contest program with its unified tester for vibronoise measurements of hydraulic and large-size equipment. This development of Sevmash design department was made under auspices of Vladimir Nekrasov.
Russian vice premier Sergei Ivanov delivered a speech at the forum opening ceremony. He congratulated participants and guests on opening of 12th international forum and emphasized its significance for Russia's economic, innovative, and social development. Summarizing the last year results, Sergei Ivanov noted considerable growth of labor efficiency in defense-oriented companies. Having visited Sevmash's pavilion, the deputy prime minister asked when Prirazlomnaya platform would be delivered, and when Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya would start sea trials. Model of floating energy unit also attracted Sergei Ivanov's attention. Director of Sevmash's informational and advertising department Alexander Kholodov presented the picture of SSBN Yury Dolgoruky at sea trials and a book "Russia's Northern Outpost" to the honorable guest.
The exhibition will last four days and finish on Apr 21.
