In accordance with visit program of BLACKSEAFOR naval cooperation group to Novorossiysk Naval Base, the wreath-laying ceremony took place in the Alley of Heroes; among participants were BLACKSEAFOR commanding officers, naval base command, representatives of public organizations, veterans, and crewmen of the foreign ships.

BLACKSEAFOR activation finished in Novorossiysk

Later on, there was a press conference on board Romanian frigate Marasesti attended by BLACKSEAFOR commander Commodore Constantin Chiorobea, ships' commanding officers, and Novorossiysk Naval Base top-ranking officials.
Commodore Constantin Chiorobea detailed objectives of the international task group and thanked reporters for their help in popularization of BLACKSEAFOR.
After the press conference, participants summarized the activation and held pre-cruise briefing.
BLACKSEAFOR ships finished their visit to Novorossiysk yesterday.
Leaving the Tsemesskaya Bay, all participating ships sailed alongside the board of the task group's flagship – Romanian frigate Marasesti. BLACKSEAFOR activations always finish with this traditional ceremony.
Change of operational control was an official end of the activation; command over BLACKSEAFOR ships was transferred to national navies.
