Armor to take part in Victory parade rehearsal in Kaliningrad 05.05.2011

Victory Day parade rehearsal will take place in Kaliningrad on May 5 at 9 pm; the parade will be associated with 66th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The rehearsal will consist of march drills of parade companies, color groups, and honor guard, saluting of Baltic Fleet Commander, pass in review, and other march elements. Besides, combat vehicles will take part in the parade as well. In all, over 40 vehicles are expected to attend the rehearsal, including S-300 air defense systems, BTR-80 armored personnel carriers, armored reconnaissance scout vehicles, multi-wheeled heavy tow trucks, large-caliber guns Giatsint, and present-day modifications of legendary Katyusha, i.e. MLRS Grad.

Baltic Fleet Deputy Commander (Kaliningrad garrison commander) Vice Admiral Viktor Kravchuk will direct the rehearsal.
