Soviet warship sunken during WW2 was found on the seabed off Romania. This is Black Sea Fleet (BSF) destroyer Moskva which scuppering is still one of the biggest mysteries in military history.

The ship was found at the depth of 45 meters by international diving team; Russians are among them as well. Searches have been lasted for about 30 years. The wrecks were detected early in May, but divers had to explore tens of square kilometers of seabed to locate the hull precisely.

BSF destroyer Moskva perished in the very first battle on June 26, 1941 after bombardment of Romanian port Constanta. About 200 crewmen died along with the ship; almost 70 managed to escape but then fell prisoners. According to basic two versions, the destroyer either collided with mine or was torpedoed by a Soviet submarine by mistake.
