II International Cruiser Yacht Regatta will be conducted in Sevastopol, Ukraine in June 11-18.

According to initiators, the regatta's route will start and finish in Sevastopol. A solemn awarding ceremony will be held on June 18; it is planned to sign an agreement between two Hero Cities – Sevastopol and Volgograd. Besides, in the regatta's closing day there will be parade of participating yachts in front of Black Sea Fleet warships with due maritime salutes.

As for initiators, the main purpose of the regatta is to honor fallen defenders of the Motherland and "attract public attention to valorous history of Russian Navy".

All phases of the contest will be accompanied with prayer services and wreath-laying ceremonies at the sites of battle glory.

As is planned, sport teams of Russian and Ukrainian navies will take part in the competition as well. Officials from the both countries are expected to attend all solemn activities.

"The coming yacht regatta will strengthen friendly relations between the two sea powers", initiators say.
