In accordance with combat training schedule, Black Sea Fleet (BSF) strike groups consisting of small missile ships Shtil and Mirazh and two missile boats Ivanovets and R-60 successfully conducted missile firing drill on May 31 at the test range southwestward Cape Tarhankut, Black Sea Fleet. The warships carried out joint missile firings and effectively hit a challenging target imitated the enemy task unit.

Black Sea Fleet ships effectively held missile firing drill

The combat drill was performed within the framework of tactical exercise conducted under auspices of BSF Deputy Commander Vice Admiral Sergei Menyailo.
Four practice cruise missiles were launched against the "enemy". According to objective surveillance data provided by BSF aircrafts An-26, missiles hit the targets directly.
Over 15 ships provided support of the missile firing drill as well as aircrafts and helicopters of BSF naval aviation.
