Russian, Finnish, Estonian border guards to exercise together 03.08.2011

Trilateral life-saving exercise Cooperation & Security 2011 will take place on Aug 4 (if bad weather – on Aug 5) in the Gulf of Finland, told press service of Russian FSB, St. Petersburg branch to Central Navy Portal.

Border guards of Russia, Finland and Estonia will take part in the exercise. Each party will delegate one ship, helicopter, and national border guard center.

Purpose of the Cooperation & Security 2011 exercise is improvement of cooperation among frontier services, national border guard centers, search-and-rescue coordination centers of participating countries; searching of "distressed" vessel and rendering assistance to the crew.
