Tug-of-war championship became the seventh sport continuing the Baltic Fleet (BF) Olympics. Ten sport teams from BF divisions and units took part in the competitions held in Kaliningrad.

First tug-of-war cup was held at Baltic Fleet

The 8-men teams were formed in such a manner that total weight of sportsmen must be about 720 kg. Not so much power and body weight were dominant factors but the teamwork skills.
Finally, the Team Rubin of BF Communications Center became the leader. Team Storm of BF Marine Division was the second. Winners' trio was closed by Team Zvezda of BF Coastal Defense Brigade.
The winning team was awarded Baltic Fleet Challenge Cup, others achieved medals and certificates.
